Thank you, so far, to the writers groups who have passed on our contest information to their members. All these wonderful groups will be added to our listing at the right of our blog ‘Writers’ Groups’.

Thank you to Cecilia and Neville Adams of Stanthorpe Writers’ Group Stanthorpe is a town in south east Queensland, Australia. It’s on the New England Highway near the New South Wales border and has a terrific cultural community. On their blog they say, “Welcome to our Writers’ Group Blog. Everyone has their own page where we can share and critique writing. Happy Scribing!” If you’re a writer who lives in the Stanthorpe area why not get in touch with Stanthorpe Writers’ Group and see where your writing takes you.

Thank you also to Caroline Carruthers, Coordinator of Boroondara Writers Inc for promoting Umoja Writing Competition to their group of dedicated writers. Boroondara Writers hail from Hawthorn, Victoria. They meet every fourth Saturday 1-4.30pm at Hawthorn Community Precinct, Meeting Room 1, Glenferrie Rd, Hawthorn. They say, “We are a supportive & knowledgeable community of writers working in all genres & at all skill levels. Our monthly workshops are designed to encourage, to improve & to applaud members’ writing.” Sounds like a great place to be if you live in or near Hawthorn.

If you would like your writer’s group included in our list, please email Donna at donna@warmwittywords.com.au that you have informed your group about our competition and then we’ll add your link and any information you’d like us to mention on our blog.

The more participants the more funds raised for Umoja Orphanage Kenya Project. Remember the entry fee goes a long way to providing a self-sustainable lifestyle for the beautiful people of Ukunda, Kenya, Africa.
